Job summary

Louisiana Blue is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to design and automate enterprise network architectures across on-premises and cloud environments. You will lead planning, testing, and automated deployment of networks while ensuring security, availability, and performance.

The role emphasizes SDN, API-driven networking, and cross-functional collaboration to support modernization and cloud initiatives. Residency in Louisiana is preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive network engineering experience in a large-scale, complex environment.
• Proficiency in Python programming and RESTful APIs for network automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and GitOps for network configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, testing, and automated deployment of network architectures across data center, WAN, campus, and cloud.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks to streamline changes and reduce manual effort.
• Integrate network management with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide SDN adoption and API-based network programmability for rapid scaling.
• Collaborate with Security, Cloud, and Application teams to align networking with IT strategy.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and governance for network configurations.
