Job Title Network Security Deployment Engineer

Overview

As a Network Security Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network environments that support critical business operations. You will manage network changes, troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools, and coordinate with carriers and vendors for installations. Your role will focus on deploying and maintaining firewall solutions, ensuring compliance with security best practices, and supporting high‑volume financial systems. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization’s network infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert level network system administration, security device installation, Check Point / Fortinet firewall deployment & solution, configuration, troubleshooting, debugging
  • Support for global market data applications, financial systems and infrastructure involving high volume securities trading and financial transactions utilizing network management components/technologies such as OSPF, BGP, Checkpoint, Fortinet
  • Implement solutions to firewall management platform, operating system, protocols and components
  • Review firewall logs and rule bases and act as subject‑matter expert to ensure that security best practices are enforced
  • Develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages
  • Provide technical guidance to application developers and act as a liaison with traders on firewall solutions
Skills You’ll Need
  • Experience in a corporate global network environment with a focus on network security
  • Proficiency in configuring and supporting Check Point management servers
  • Familiarity with proxy platform troubleshooting, including SkyHigh and Zscaler
  • Strong understanding of firewall deployment and network protocols.
  • Ability to document and execute network changes effectively
Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Cisco Certified Security Associate (CCSA) certification
  • Experience provisioning and troubleshooting solutions from Check Point, Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model. This role requires work on most Friday nights and Saturdays.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $60,000 to $92,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
