  • Lead Technology Risk and Control governance forums, including agenda setting and tracking key decisions.
  • Drive adherence to the technology control framework and evolve controls with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor emerging technology regulations and industry risk developments and identify resilience improvements.
  • Deliver clear reporting on non-financial risk, KRIs, and emerging exposures to senior stakeholders.

Overview

The first-line Technology, Data and Innovation Regulatory, Risk, and Controls function is a highly visible and critical partner across the organization, providing strategic guidance, oversight, and constructive challenge. As an Assistant Vice President, you will help ensure the Bank delivers change, manages regulatory expectations, and maintains secure, compliant, and resilient technology systems. You will lead key regulatory engagements, manage technology risk governance forums, and support risk reduction, audit remediation, and transformation initiatives. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and the Business to align priorities and resolve complex issues. Through this work, you will contribute to the Bank's strategic journey by strengthening operational resilience and proactively managing its regulatory footprint in an evolving digital environment.

What You'll Do
  • Manage technology regulatory engagements by coordinating examinations, preparing response materials, and tracking remediation commitments through closure
  • Lead Technology Risk and Control governance forums, including agenda setting, material preparation, and tracking key decisions and action items
  • Drive adherence to the technology control framework and ensure the control environment evolves with regulatory requirements and Technology, Data and Innovation priorities
  • Monitor emerging technology regulations and industry risk developments, assess their impact, and identify opportunities to strengthen operational resilience
  • Deliver clear reporting and insights on the technology non-financial risk landscape, key risk indicators, and emerging risk exposures to senior stakeholders
  • Build alignment across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Business teams, using structured escalation and effective communication to resolve complex roadblocks
Skills You'll Need
  • Extensive experience in technology risk, IT audit, or compliance within a global financial institution, technology company, or leading professional services environment
  • Deep understanding of technology risk, regulatory expectations, and industry frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001
  • Proven experience managing regulatory interactions, governance forums, audit remediation, and complex technology risk initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build consensus, and drive change in a fast-paced global environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical risk concepts into clear executive-level presentations and reports
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure the responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL or Cary, NC offices in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $75,000 to $119,500 and Cary is $85,000 to $129,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
