Job summary

Lufco is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to provide technical oversight and proactive monitoring across global command sites. The role emphasizes rapid incident restoration, high availability, and compliance for both SIPRNet and NIPRNet networks supporting military logistics and C4ISR operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring with SolarWinds and SIEM, maintaining Cisco IOS-XE/Nexus devices, and supporting cyber operations with ISE and Palo Alto technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or enterprise network administration.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational network monitoring and health assessments using enterprise tools (SolarWinds NPM, SIEM).
• Identify interface drops, latency bottlenecks, circuit outages, and transport degradations; perform immediate triage and restoration.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Cisco IOS-XE and Nexus devices across locations.
• Execute routine network maintenance scripts and ensure STIG compliance.
• Implement firewall and proxy rule changes as authorized by COR.
• Support cybersecurity operations with GFE tools including ISE and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Perform root-cause diagnostics during service disruptions across seams between local and enterprise providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and as-built topology diagrams.
