Job summary

Augustine Consulting Inc. seeks a Network Operations Specialist to support ARTRANS and the U.S. Army Transportation Command from Scott AFB.

You will work with engineers to architect AWS/Azure solutions, migrate and modernize apps to enterprise cloud, and ensure security and high availability across architectures. You will interface with senior customers and Warfighters, contribute to technical documentation, and travel to customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. Citizenship for DoD security clearance.

• Related degree fields include CS, Cyber Security, Data Science, IS Technology, SW Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with no experience.

• AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals within 90 days of employment.
• 2+ years’ AWS/Azure experience in delivery or admin roles.

ACI is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, Network Operations Specialistto serve as a part of the Government Programs team providing comprehensive IT service capability to support the U.S. Army Transportation Command's (ARTRANS) global C4ISR and distribution operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As an ACI Network Operations Specialist, you will have opportunities to interface with senior level customers, Warfighters, and leadership while performing the following functions:

• Work with a team of Engineers to architect and deliver AWS and AZURE solutions.
• Perform migration, modernization of custom developed applications, products to an enterprise cloud environment, including product CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize proper design principles to create and model databases ensuring their efficacy.
• Work with the customer to integrate PaaS cloud architectures into their existing environment and edge architectures.
• Work with the Software Engineers to ensure that the architecture will meet requirements of the proposed applications.
• Provide support for troubleshooting and administration.
• Ensure security compliance in deployed architectures.
• Conduct audits of customer current architecture solutions and recommend changes as needed to meet requirements.
• Provide expertise in high availability, contingency planning, and automated provisioning.
• Support and advise customer on cloud initiatives including assessment, migration and modernization.

Required Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey IT and cloud technologies.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical documentation.
• Ability to travel to customer locations and supporting customer engagement locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native AWS experience preferred
• 2+ years’ experience working within a DevSecOps/DevOps environment, utilizing AWS or AZURE services, solutions, and provisioning/automating infrastructure, services, and tools in a DoD environment.
• Certified Architecture Associate for AWS or AZURE.
• Cloud Database Services and Architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience and Proficiency with SQL
• Ability to work within a collaborative, geographically dispersed team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
