Job summary

St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Florida seeks an experienced Network Administrator to manage enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, and security across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

The role supports advanced network services, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery while collaborating with IT staff, vendors, and external agencies. Strong emphasis on documentation, change management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise network environments.
• Experience with multi-location networks including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID or similar identity platforms.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Hyper-V).
• Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, storage, and DR technologies.
• Experience documenting networks and configurations.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN and VPN infrastructure.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and security controls.
• Support network segmentation, VLANs, routing, and secure remote access.
• Manage core network services: DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, time sync, authentication, certificates.
• Administer MS Entra ID and AD, including GPOs and hybrid identity.
• Install and patch Windows Server and Linux systems; monitor services.
• Administer virtualization infrastructure (VMware vSphere/ESXi).
• Manage NAS/SAN storage, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor backups and disaster recovery technologies (Veeam or equivalent).
• Perform proactive monitoring and respond to alerts; change management per cybersecurity practices.
