Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to lead administration, optimization, and security of enterprise infrastructure. You will oversee network operations, virtualization, and end-user support while guiding a technical team to ensure stability and performance of critical systems.

The role requires 4+ years in leadership within network operations, solid Windows/Microsoft, virtualization, and security experience, plus strong collaboration with technology leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Six to eight years of relevant infrastructure, network administration, or engineering experience.
• Minimum of four years of leadership or management experience within network operations, infrastructure, or technology support environments.
• Strong experience with Windows Server environments, Microsoft technologies, network infrastructure administration, virtualization platforms, and enterprise security practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network and infrastructure environments.
• Lead and develop a team of network engineers, systems admins, technicians, and help desk staff.
• Foster a collaborative environment promoting teamwork, accountability, and growth.
• Direct troubleshooting for outages, incidents, and performance issues.
• Partner with technology leadership to maintain security best practices across network and server environments.
• Ensure proper implementation of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and hardening standards.
• Monitor performance, usage trends, and capacity for future growth.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and technology investments.
• Communicate security-related events and risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Oversee unified communications and related infrastructure for reliability.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and threats.
• Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Escalate critical incidents to executives as needed.
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and other personnel decisions.
