Job summary

TECEZE is seeking a Network Engineer – Level 2 to support and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure in Princeton, NJ. You will troubleshoot, configure, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices to ensure high availability.

You will collaborate with Tier 1/3 teams and vendors, document changes, and follow security and change-management standards while providing onsite or remote support as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer – Level 2 to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and network troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and hardware issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers.
• Work with VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and routing protocols.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless connectivity issues.
• Perform network device installations, upgrades, and replacements.
• Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds or similar platforms.
• Handle network incidents and service requests using ITSM/ticketing tools.
• Perform network changes, maintenance, and documentation.
• Work with Level 1/Level 3 teams, vendors, and other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Follow security, change-management, and network standards.
• Provide onsite or remote support as required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
• Good understanding of VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Experience with LAN/WAN and wireless technologies.
• Basic knowledge of firewalls and network security.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another ITSM tool.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar firewalls.
• Knowledge of OSPF/BGP is a plus.
• Experience with data center or enterprise network environments.
• Experience with SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools.
