Job summary

Phaxis in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an experienced Network Manager to lead design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, backups, cloud services, routers, switches, and load balancers. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CTO on security best practices for firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network hardening.
• Monitor traffic to forecast capacity and budget needs.
• Oversee unified communications performance and keep tech up-to-date.
• Provide support to managers and colleagues; complete required trainings.

This position requires onsite work four days a week and involves a 3-6 month contract-to-hire (CTH) arrangement. Expertise in Cisco, VMware, and Citrix is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the design, implementation, and upkeep of the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, backup solutions, cloud services, routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Promote a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve network outages and performance issues.
• Collaborate with the CTO to enforce security best practices for firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and network hardening.
• Monitor network traffic to anticipate future capacity needs and budget requirements.
• Report security events to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to documented policies and procedures.
• Oversee unified communications performance and ensure technology is up-to-date.
• Stay informed about security vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity and availability.
• Continuously seek improvements in network service capabilities.
• Escalate critical issues to upper management as needed.
• Encourage team development and growth.

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications
