Job Description

The NOC Technician will provide on-shift surveillance, management, advanced troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to the company's Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core Transport Network. The goal is to maximize network availability by restoring service promptly and minimizing field technician calls.

Essential Duties

• Monitor network and analyze network events and alarms; perform troubleshooting and maintenance; respond to outages and coordinate with technical teams to restore service; initiate disaster recovery as needed.
• Provide technical training and oversight to junior technicians, mentoring them through network events.
• Interact professionally with customers, staff, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
• Compile and submit network status reports and notifications; alert management as per protocols; perform other duties to ensure network operation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of DOS/Windows/UNIX/OpenView and related applications
• Ability to train and guide less experienced staff
• Strong interpersonal skills; handle stress diplomatically
• Self-initiative with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of progressive experience in telecommunications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record (if applicable)

Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, and more, subject to eligibility and plan specifics.
