Leidos CIO Services, within the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking a talented and innovative Network Management Engineer to join our growing team. You will provide engineering support for advanced network management systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as OpenConfig, OpenTelemetry, Machine Learning, as well as vendor-based SNMP-based monitoring, NetFlow analysis, and network configuration management. In this role, you will actively participate in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, integration, testing, documentation, and implementation. Your work will align with best practices, operational excellence, and forward-thinking approaches to network management.

Location: This position allows for 100% telework from any U.S. based location

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective network management solutions.

• Deploy and maintain modern network telemetry solutions leveraging OpenConfig and OpenTelemetry standards.

• Integrate Machine Learning techniques for predictive analytics, proactive monitoring, and anomaly detection to enhance network performance and reliability.

• Utilize SNMP, NetFlow, and other monitoring techniques to maintain and optimize network performance.

• Document procedures and maintain detailed audit-level records of systems and processes.

• Provide tiered troubleshooting, resolution, and root-cause analysis for complex network management issues.

• Engage with senior management and stakeholders as necessary to communicate technical insights and strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, Associate degree with 8+ years or equivalent years or applicable and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Expertise in network design, configuration, and performance management.

• Hands-on experience with SNMP, NetFlow, OpenConfig, and OpenTelemetry.

• Demonstrated experience integrating Machine Learning techniques within network monitoring and analysis frameworks.

• Strong understanding of Aruba/Silver Peak SD-WAN and related networking technologies.

• Proficiency in SQL and database interfaces, including ODBC.

• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with ITIL Change & Configuration Management practices.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with modern network management platforms such as SolarWinds NPM.

• Exposure to SD-WAN management technologies and protocols.

• Familiarity with IP SLA, HP Network Automation (HP NA), or similar tools.

• Current or past Aruba/Silver Peak SD-WAN certifications such as Aruba Certified SD-WAN Professional (ACSP), Aruba Certified SD-WAN Expert (ACSE), SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
