Job summary

A. O. Smith is seeking a CI Manager to lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the NAWT Small Sites network, driving safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction by partnering with site leaders and frontline teams.

You will guide problem solving, standardize processes, and mentor local CI leads, with travel up to 25% across sites in FL, WI, CA, AZ and NV, supporting both assembly plants and dealer service operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in operations, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of CI-related work experience.
• Lean tools and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to learn and apply new CI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the Small Sites CI roadmap and prioritize projects by impact.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and standard work.
• Mentor site leads to build continuous learning and CI practices.
• Guide structured problem solving with 8-Step, RCA and A3 methods.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities and monitor KPIs.
• Collaborate with NAWT and Corporate CI communities of practice.
• Report progress to site leadership.
