Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support Cisco-based LAN/WAN networks, including SD-WAN and cloud connectivity. The role demands hands-on experience with Cisco devices, routing protocols, DNS/DHCP, and wireless networking, with strong customer-facing communication and SLA-driven incident resolution.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification is the minimum requirement.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco devices, routing and switching.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Cisco network devices.
• Working knowledge of SD-WAN and routing policies.
• DNS and DHCP server deployment, configuration, record management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting wireless networking issues with Cisco APs and Wireless Controllers.
• Resolve network incidents, system failures, routing changes, and infrastructure updates.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience managing escalations, resolving issues within SLA targets, and contributing to problem management.
• Experience performing IOS upgrades across Layer 2 and Layer 3 Cisco switches.
• Experience configuring routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP), ACLs, PPP, Wireless VPN.
• Understanding OSI layers, cabling, and physical connectivity concepts.
• Knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting.
• Proven customer support experience including test case execution and client interaction.
• Ability to document operational activities and incidents daily.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies and security concepts.
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and AWS networking services.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• CCNA certification (minimum requirement).


• Hands-on experience with multiple Cisco device models and strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies. Solid understanding of LAN concepts and day-to-day network operations.


• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Cisco network devices.


• Working experience with SD-WAN technologies and routing policies.


• Experience with DNS and DHCP server deployment, configuration, record management, and troubleshooting.


• Experience troubleshooting wireless networking issues, including Cisco Access Points and Wireless Controllers.


• Ability to resolve network-related incidents, system failures, routing changes, and infrastructure updates.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 a year
