Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Network Infrastructure Engineer to build dedicated cloud regions and scale enterprise networks across data centers.

You will collaborate with customers and vendors, develop automation, and help ensure reliability of the AWS global network. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mid-level and/or enterprise experience as a technician or engineer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and performing quality assurance activities.
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows and participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, delivering simple, sustainable solutions
• Travel up to 40% within geographic area, with possible international travel
