Job summary

ECI is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Global Implementations team to design, deploy, and optimize LAN/WAN networks for clients worldwide. You will lead troubleshooting and implementation of Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, and cloud-based networking while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a 3-day on-site presence in Dallas, with core U.S. hours and potential after-hours project support. Prior global network experience and CCNP are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
• CCNP certification and strong routing/switching expertise.
• Expert in Cisco Nexus, BGP and OSPF.
• Knowledge of public cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Expert in Palo Alto firewalls; GlobalProtect design and implementation.
• FortiGate experience; Cisco FTD experience.
• Experience with Cisco traditional and SD-WAN routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Provide global customer support for network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet deployments.
• Collaborate with teams and external parties to resolve complex cases.
• Serve as escalation point for critical network incidents and drive resolution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the network services team.
• Research emerging technologies and PoC opportunities.
• Engage with clients to tailor network solutions to their goals.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and policies.

ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Global Implementations team which is responsible to design and deploy network infrastructures(both on-prem and cloud) for our clients (distributed globally), ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.

This is a hybrid role being onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. The core hours will be U.S. working hours but may also require work outside of core hours as needed for projects and client support.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain the client’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure.
• Provide customer support to clients located across the globe.
• Troubleshoot/resolve complex issues and handle service requests for clients related to Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, Cisco Meraki and legacy wireless infrastructure, Palo Alto technologies, Cisco, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Collaborate with relevant teams, departments, or external parties to resolve cases that require specialized knowledge or resources.
• Serve as the ultimate escalation point for critical network incidents and outages. Lead the response effort, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the network services team. Mentor junior team members, share knowledge, and promote best practices for network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, products, and solutions relevant to the organization’s strategic objectives. Identify PoC opportunities that align with business needs and technical requirements.
• Engage proactively with clients to comprehend their unique network requisites and collaboratively engineer tailored solutions that align with their goals.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies/procedures.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with exposure in product organizations
• CCNP
• Advance routing and switching knowledge. Expert in Cisco Nexus switching, BGP and OSPF protocols.
• Ability to design enterprise networks.
• Knowledge and experience in public cloud technologies - AWS/GCP/Azure
• Expert in Palo Alto firewalls. Global Protect design and implementation with certificates, VPNs, Failover, SSL decryption, content filtering etc.
• FortiGate and Cisco FTD experience
• Experience with Cisco traditional and SDWAN routers, catalyst, and Nexus switches
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building and managing expectations.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, in a fast-paced team environment.
• Sharp attention to detail with proven analytical and critical thinking skills
• Effective time management and excellent prioritization skills

Bonus points if you have

• CCIE a plus
• Experience with Sonicwall N/W devices
• Financial Services Industry experience
