Job summary

LCRA, at the Eastern Maintenance Facility in LaGrange, TX, seeks a Senior Network Field Technician to design, deploy, and maintain advanced telecom networks, including private LTE and 5G. You will power essential infrastructure and support by testing, deploying, and troubleshooting critical systems.

Join a team focused on reliable connectivity, with duties ranging from documentation and after-hours support to monitoring and script reviews for production releases.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in WAN, MPLS, LAN, Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave, LMR and/or LTE.
• Degree or industry certification may substitute for certain years of experience.
• Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Manage routine and emergency maintenance, testing, and inspection of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.
• Partner with relevant stakeholders pertaining to implementation, operation, and support of enterprise telecommunications systems as it contributes to IT strategy and resource optimization.
• Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, mapping, processes, and services while deploying and supporting routers, switches and firewalls.
• Interpret advanced network diagrams and configurations to execute installations, testing, and troubleshooting, including after-hours support.
• Monitor network performance proactively using standard monitoring and packet capture solutions.
• Review and validate deployment scripts prior to production release.

How You\'ll Contribute

• Manage routine and emergency maintenance, testing, and inspection of all telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.

How You\'re Qualified

• Five or more years of experience in one or more of the following networking technologies: WAN, MPLS, LAN, Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave Radio, 700/900MHz Trunked Radio (LMR) and/or LTE, fiber splicing or other relevant experience
• A degree(s) in related field or industry professional-level certification may be substituted for certain years of experience.
• Driver\'s License

How You\'ll Stand Out

• Experience in developing, designing, and maintaining LTE and 5G network systems.
• Experience in using MPLS, DWDM, and/or 900/700 MHz LMR systems.
