Job summary

TECEZE in Washington DC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity issues. You will configure Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers, and support enterprise firewall technologies.

The role requires strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, and BGP, with hands‑on experience across Meraki/Catalyst/Nexus platforms. Local candidates preferred for on‑site work.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Catalyst, or Nexus platforms.
  • Familiarity with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
  • Experience troubleshooting VPN, wireless, and WAN connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco DNA Center.
  • Experience with structured cabling and network hardware installation.
  • Strong understanding of network security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents related to LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity.
  • Configure, install, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Support enterprise firewall technologies and assist with security‑related network issues.
  • Perform network upgrades, hardware replacements, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, switching, and TCP/IP issues.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, and Systems teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide onsite support for network outages, hardware installations, and cable connectivity.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, asset inventory, and change records.
  • Support patching, firmware upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all work is documented accurately in the ticketing system and completed within SLA guidelines.
  • Participate in after‑hours maintenance and on‑call support when required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required or preferred.
  • CCNP certification is a plus.
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking or AWS networking is an advantage.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing tools.
