Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company seeks a Network Engineering Manager to lead a team of Network Engineers while remaining hands-on with advanced IP/MPLS and optical networking technologies. This technical leadership role expects strong experience in BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, traffic engineering, and optical transport networks.

The manager will oversee network projects, capacity planning, network modernization, and change management, while coordinating budgets and engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years supervising Network Engineers.
• Hands-on experience with service-provider IP networking.
• Experience with large-scale routed networks.
• Deep BGP experience with policies, communities and peering.
• IS-IS and OSPF in large networks.
• Optical networks experience (ROADM, DWDM).
• Leadership in change management and escalations.
• Develop MOPs, test plans and implementation designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3 Network Engineers.
• Oversee network upgrades, migrations, deployments.
• Remain hands-on with IP/MPLS and optical networks.
• Produce weekly capacity reports and plan capacity needs.
• Evaluate new network technologies and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate daily assignments, workload, and priorities.
• Develop budgets, cost analyses, and resource plans.
• Provide technical oversight for tickets and changes.
