  • Design and optimize RSVP-TE networks, including primary, secondary, and tertiary LSPs and node/link protection.
  • Lead network migrations, upgrades, expansions, and technology deployments with minimal service disruption.
  • Perform network health assessments, capacity planning, augmentation reviews, and proactive network optimization.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and serve as a technical escalation point for operational incidents.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture, design documentation, standards, MOPs, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with transport/optical engineering teams on IP-to-transport connectivity and network handoffs.
  • Support network integration and consolidation across multiple acquired or partially merged networks.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex network issues.
  • Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and an on-call rotation.
  • Identify opportunities for network automation and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • 10–15 years of experience in carrier, telecommunications, or large-scale service provider networking.
  • Expert-level knowledge of MPLS, including LDP, RSVP-TE and/or Segment Routing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, and carrier Ethernet.
  • Deep BGP experience, including routing policies, communities, route reflectors, and peering.
  • Strong knowledge of IS-IS and OSPF in large-scale routed environments.
  • Hands-on production experience with multiple network vendors, including Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, and/or Ciena.
  • Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6, QoS, high availability, and network resiliency.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex service provider networks.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex technical initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DWDM, ROADM, coherent optics, and optical transport networks.
  • Experience with Python, Ansible, NETCONF/YANG, gNMI, Git, or other network automation technologies.
  • Experience with Juniper Space or similar network management platforms.
  • Knowledge of Segment Routing, EVPN, DCI, and backbone network expansion.
  • Experience supporting network integration following acquisitions or major network migrations.
  • Industry certifications such as JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE Service Provider, Nokia NRS, or Ciena certifications.
What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can work effectively in a complex, multi-vendor service provider environment. The network is undergoing modernization and migration from a Nokia-centric environment toward Juniper, while continuing to operate Brocade, ADTRAN, Cisco, and other platforms.
