Job summary

CACI International Inc. is hiring a Network Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in High Point, NC. The role requires 32 hours per week for at least 10 weeks, with work performed 100% in-office at the High Point location.

You will assist an engineering team in designing and supporting network modernization solutions, complete a group project simulating customer networks, and present your results to the division and possibly leaders at headquarters.

Qualifications

• Graduating High School Senior with academic achievement and technical aptitude.
• Currently enrolled full-time Undergraduate or Graduate student in a relevant field of study.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance if applicable.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; good oral and written communications.
• Coursework in data network communications; familiarity with basic network concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers and technicians.
• Willingness to travel to other CACI locations or customer sites as needed.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required or actively pursued before internship start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering team with designing and supporting network modernization solutions across the project lifecycle.
• Complete a network engineering intern group project simulating customer network environments.
• Oversee task completion under supervision of a senior engineer.
• Conduct research and data gathering to support project decisions.
• Identify risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Provide general support to the engineering team as needed; deliver final project summary presentation.
