Job summary

CA CI is offering a Network/Cybersecurity internship for Summer 2027 in High Point, NC. The role requires a part-time on-call schedule and up to 25% travel throughout the continental US. The intern will work 32 hours per week for at least 10 weeks, entirely in the High Point office.

Required certifications include CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+. Applicants must be full-time undergrad/grad students, capable of obtaining security clearance, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduating high school senior with strong academics and technical aptitude.
• Candidates must have or be pursuing CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ before start date.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance (if applicable).
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of data networks and computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering team to design and support network modernization solutions.
• Oversee tasks under supervision of a senior engineer.
• Research and gather data to support project decisions.
• Identify risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Provide general support to the engineering team.
• Present a final project summary to the Division; select interns may present to leaders at headquarters.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Network / Cybersecurity intern who can work 32 hours a week for a minimum of 10-weeks for the Summer 2027 session! You will have the opportunity to learn about and support a CACI program with the Department of

Defense enterprise network modernization.

This position will require you to work 100% in office at our High point, NC location during the entirety of the internship.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting an engineering team to design and support network modernization solutions across the project life cycle.
• Overseeing the completion of tasks under the direction of a senior Engineer.
• Conducting research and gathering data to support project decision-making.
• Identifying risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Providing general support to engineering team as required.
• All interns will be expected to conduct a final summary presentation on your projects and experience to the Division. Select interns may be chosen to present to leaders in our headquarters office as well.

Qualifications:

Required:

• You must minimally be a graduating High School Senior with demonstrated academic achievement and technical aptitude.
• CompTIA Security+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certification required. Candidates must already hold one or both certifications or be actively pursuing them with the expectation of completion prior to the internship start date.
• Must currently be enrolled in full-ti me Undergraduate or Graduate student in a relevant field of study
• Must beable to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)
• Good interpersonal and presentati on skills
• Good oral and writt en communicati ons skills
• Technical experience or knowledge of basic data network communicati onsand computer operati ons.
• Coursework providing background in data network communicati ons
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) soft ware applications
• Ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to travel to other CACI Locati ons or Customer Sites asnecessary
• Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
• Technical experience or knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired:

• Engineering, Computer Science,Cybersecurity or related degree is preferred
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
• Previous experience with Network or Cybersecurity related Internship
• Military experience or experience working with government personnel
