Seize your opportunity as a Network Engineer SME supporting USPACOM J6 enterprise IT, mission partner interoperability, and Pacific theater operations. You will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You will support USPACOM J6 mission outcomes through Mission Partner Environment (MPE) engineering planning and development, modernization, secure integration, and operational collaboration across the Pacific.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Support architecture, engineering planning, and design activities for Mission Partner Environment (MPE) Engineering Planning and Development.
- Translate operational and mission partner requirements into executable technical plans, designs, and integration actions.
- Develop and review network designs, implementation plans, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate resolution across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
- Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Education: Technical training, certification(s), or equivalent experience.
- Required Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoD/enterprise IT environment.
- Required Technical Skills: enterprise network engineering; routing and switching; network modernization; WAN/LAN design; secure enclave connectivity; technical documentation.
- Security Clearance Level: Active Secret.
- Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, analytical problem‑solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and coordination across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
- Preferred Skills: Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments. Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders. Experience with mission partner, coalition, tactical, or multi‑enclave networking.
- Location: On customer site at Camp Smith, HI.

Other Details
Salary range: $110,500 - $149,500. Pay will be based on experience, location and possibly contractual requirements.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel required: None. Telecommuting: Onsite. Work location: USA HI Camp Smith.
