Job summary

SEG Solar in Houston, TX is seeking a Network Engineer to configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across factory and office environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The role requires Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate, and Meraki SD-WAN experience, plus documentation and on-call support.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to support MES and other manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, as well as Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solutions.
• Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, and network security principles.
• Ability to document network configurations, topology diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures clearly.
• Willingness to provide on-call support during evenings and weekends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot core network infrastructure including firewalls, Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, IPS/IDS, VPN solutions, and network segmentation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, performing detailed root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
