The Richland County School District One in South Carolina is seeking a Network Engineer to support the district's mission critical infrastructure, network services, and application pathways.

Proficiency in Local and Wide Area Network wired and wireless environments.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Network Engineer is responsible for assisting with support of the district's mission critical infrastructure, network services and application pathways. This position is responsible for assistance with network troubleshooting and topology management. The responsibilities include providing routing & switching services, Wi-Fi services, network configuration changes, network monitoring, documentation, telephony assistance and project management. This role requires a forward-thinking professional with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to harnessing technology to enhance educational outcomes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or technical certification preferred, or technical certification preferred. Relevant Certifications: Cisco CCNA and/or CompTIA Network+ certifications preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Wide Area and Local Area Networking, switching and routing.
