Job summary

RISA is hiring a Network Engineer III to engineer and sustain an Intelligence Community customer's WAN, LAN, and campus networks across multiple security domains. You will work directly with the owner on project requirements, surveys, and technology refresh to keep infrastructure up and running.

The role calls for 8+ years in networking, 4+ years on large networks, TS/SCI clearance, and IAT II. On-site Springfield, VA with up to 25% travel; polygraph eligibility post-hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combinations: Master's +4 years, Associate +8 years, or HS diploma +10 years.
• 8+ years in network and transport technologies with 4+ years on large-scale networks.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and sustain multi-domain WAN/LAN environments across NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS.
• Troubleshoot network media and components; monitor health and performance.
• Research and implement enterprise-wide solutions aligned to mission objectives.
• Develop test plans and configuration documentation for customer approval.
• Run traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization to meet performance goals.
• Perform site surveys for new installations and tech refresh; install satellite equipment.
• Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with government agencies.
