Job summary

The Bison Group in Washington, DC seeks a Network Administrator to manage enterprise routing, switching, and security configurations. You will perform VLAN, ACL, and port assignments, upgrade IOS on routers and switches, and draft SOPs for network operations.

Candidates should have IAT II, CCNA, TS/SCI with CI poly preferred, and familiarity with Cisco and Juniper devices; strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, and Cisco ISE. This role demands independent problem solving in remote locations.

Qualifications

• IAT II certification required.
• CCNA certification required.
• TS/SCI with CI poly clearance preferred.
• Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Strong routing protocol knowledge: BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x.
• Experience with KG-175 TACLANES configuration and upgrades.
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE and network security practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct approved network changes including VLANs, ACLs, and port assignments.
• Perform IOS upgrades on routers and switches.
• Upgrade routing/switching equipment to support operations.
• Draft SOPs for network operations.
• Resolve network outages and accessibility issues.
• Support site surveys and engineering data calls.
• Assist in network implementation and refresh projects across sites.
• Work independently with supervision as needed.
• Research and perform incident analysis and root cause determinations.
• Review and implement STIGs for security compliance.
