Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer II to manage secure, highly available computing platforms, servers and networks in Wisconsin.

You will install, upgrade and improve the infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance and rapid incident response in a fast-paced environment. The role includes monitoring security, VPN, wireless, load balancing, routing and switching; supporting multiple platform environments; and participating in project planning with Business Technology

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or Business, or equivalent professional experience and relevant training.
• 5+ years’ experience with network administration and security and systems such as Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors and supports network security, VPN, wireless, load balancing, routing and switching infrastructure.
• Follows defined procedures to monitor systems and resolve problems.
• May support multiple infrastructure platforms of medium complexity with multiple concurrent users ensuring control, integrity, accessibility and performance.
• Participates in short-term and long-term project efforts with stakeholders and Business Technology resources.
• Works with project teams to understand business needs and technical requirements.
• Provides feedback and recommendations on requirements and ensures backup and system availability.
• Monitors alerts and takes appropriate actions; performs routine maintenance tasks for assigned systems such as backups and patch management; performs health checks.
• Monitors network operating capacity in terms of response time, availability and security; capacity planning; suggests upgrades as needed.
• Identifies problems and optimizes performance; escalates as appropriate; follows change management processes.
• Analyzes and reports on operational metrics for process improvements and capacity planning; provides Level 3 production support and documents changes.
• Adheres to security requirements and procedures; documents new or modified functions, modules, software or systems.
