Job summary

Acuative is seeking a Network Engineer II to join our team in the United States. This role focuses on complex troubleshooting, leading medium-scale projects, and serving as a high-level escalation point for NOC teams. You will diagnose chronic performance issues, validate designs, and drive significant network changes.

You will collaborate with Tier 3 engineers to ensure feasibility and adhere to operational standards while implementing security policies across LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must have a US Government Public Trust clearance eligibility.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience as a Network Engineer or senior technical specialist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
• ITIL v4 Foundation and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complex Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve critical and chronic network performance issues across global LAN/WAN/Security infrastructure.
• Project Execution: lead and execute medium-scale network projects, including site turn-ups, migrations, and firmware upgrades.
• Escalation & Mentorship: act as primary escalation point for Tier 1 Engineers and NOC Analysts, providing guidance.
• Design & Architecture Support: review and validate low-level design specifications with Tier 3 Engineers.
• Security Implementation: implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall rules, VPNs, and IPS.
