Five9 is seeking a Network Engineer II – Operations to manage a 24/7 SaaS LAN environment. You will own complex networking, drive incident responses, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with senior stakeholders.

You will lead architecture and automation efforts across Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, F5, OpenStack Neutron, Calico, Kubernetes networking, and multi‑cloud contexts (AWS/GCP), with strong emphasis on reliability and observability.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medium-to-large networks, IP routing, switching, and security in SaaS/enterprise.
• Deep hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls — security policy design, Panorama management, Global Protect VPN.
• Advanced experience with F5 BIG-IP — LTM, GTM, iRules, SSL offloading, and app delivery.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k, NX-OS, and NDFC.
• SDN experience with OpenStack Neutron and Calico (Kubernetes).
• Automation of infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• LAN protocols: VXLAN, EVPN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, STP/RSTP.
• Experience in large data centers with inter-branch routing, IPSec VPNs, MPLS VPNs.
• Monitoring/observability: SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, NetFlow, SNMP.
• Reliability metrics using SLI/SLO; incident response and change management.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end troubleshooting of LAN connectivity, firewall policy, and load balancer issues.
• Lead incident responses and post-incident root-cause analysis.
• Drive LAN infrastructure projects with Nexus, Palo Alto, F5, and NDFC fabric management.
• Design and deliver next-gen data-center fabric architectures using VXLAN, Nexus Dashboard, Kubernetes networking.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps, standards, and configuration policies for LAN, firewall, and load balancer environments.
• Automate provisioning and monitoring using Ansible, Terraform, Python and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, and SOPs.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
