Job summary

CSX is seeking a senior network and security engineer to design and support enterprise-grade networking infrastructure across campus, data center, and remote sites. You will lead Cisco routing/switching initiatives and Fortinet security deployments, ensuring highly available connectivity and strong security posture.

You will collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security Operations, participate in on-call support, and mentor junior staff while driving Zero Trust and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Familiarity with administering firewall platforms in a production enterprise environment.
• Experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
• Experience supporting WAN, VPN, and remote connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, and WAN technologies.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
• Design and implement secure network architectures and segmentation strategies to protect critical business environments.
• Lead network and network security projects from planning through deployment and support.
• Configure and support Cisco routing and switching platforms in campus, datacenter, and remote site environments.
• Support SD-WAN technologies to improve connectivity, performance, and resiliency.
• Investigate and resolve complex network and security incidents impacting business operations.
• Develop and maintain network standards, diagrams, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement network security controls and best practices.
