Job summary

The American Bar Association in Chicago, IL is seeking an Information Technology - Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage our enterprise network infrastructure, including on‑premises, offsite, and cloud components. You will ensure reliable routing, VPN/SD‑WAN, DHCP/DNS, firewall policies, VOIP/SIP, and hardware maintenance, with on‑site rotation and occasional travel.

This role requires strong networking knowledge and relevant experience, with hybrid work options and a comprehensive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or alternative with 8+ years.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols, ACL/firewall policies, SD-WAN, DHCP, DNS, VOIP/SIP, and cloud/on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

Design, Build, Test, Implement, Manage and Maintain the enterprise network infrastructure.
Monitor, Identify, Diagnose, and Resolve complex network/data issues.
Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.
Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Provide formal corporate communications on directional changes or changes that will impact existing services
Provide recommendations
Performs other related duties as required.
