Job summary

Beaufort County IT is seeking an IT Network Analyst to plan, design, implement, and maintain the county's network infrastructure, ensuring performance, security and reliability. You will support users, monitor systems and document changes.

Responsibilities include designing LAN/WAN, monitoring hardware/software, diagnosing issues, managing firewalls and VPNs, and collaborating with vendors on equipment and services. Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent four years of college education.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable history.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ certifications desirable.
• Attach copies of certifications/licenses with application.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions (LAN/WAN/Wireless).
• Monitor and maintain network hardware/software for performance and security.
• Diagnose and resolve network problems quickly to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Document configurations, procedures and changes accurately.
• Use monitoring tools to track performance and identify improvements.
• Provide support to IT staff and end-users on network issues.
• Plan capacity and scalability for future growth.
• Collaborate with vendors to procure equipment/services.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assist users via ticketing system when issues arise.
• Keep up to date with new network technologies.
