Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in network security; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with NGFWs and enterprise network security technologies.
• Security clearance ability required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• On-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Designs, deploys, configures, and maintains cloud and on-premises network security solutions including Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama / Strata Cloud Manager, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, Juniper SRX, Gigamon visibility components, ExtraHop sensors, Illumio VENs, and related policy tooling.
• Maintains the integrity and security of the network device estate (Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Gigamon, F5, etc.).
• Executes day-to-day tasks for service takeovers and migrations: firewall/policy re-baselining, GlobalProtect/Prisma Access changes, Gigamon/ExtraHop deployment and validation.
• Creates, maintains, and updates diagrams, SOPs and runbooks.
• Supports and develops automation for configuration, validation, and reporting.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on core network security technologies.
• Monitors and improves deployments; participates in phased rollouts.
• Collaborates across teams and with external customers to implement solutions.
• Handles escalations; provides recommendations or solutions.
• May coach less-experienced professionals.
• Coordinates hardware/software acquisition and subcontractor services.
