Job summary

Liberty Alliance in Tampa, FL is seeking a Network Engineer to configure, maintain, and secure corporate network infrastructure for events and operations. You will manage UniFi and Cisco devices, VLANs, VPNs, and security controls while ensuring high availability and compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.

The role involves on-site work, collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and wireless networking.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPNs.
Familiarity with Cisco and/or UniFi networking equipment.
Understanding of network security concepts including segmentation, ACLs, firewall policies, least privilege, secure remote access, logging, and network monitoring.

Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot UniFi and Cisco networking devices, including gateways/firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and network controllers.
Configure and maintain VLANs, SSIDs, routing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, firewall policies, ACLs, and network segmentation.
Monitor network infrastructure for outages, performance issues, security events, and anomalous activity.
Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 network tickets within assigned scope; provide on-site event support.
Assist with VPN and secure remote-access configurations; support Starlink and temporary event networks.
Maintain secure configurations and documentation; review and update network diagrams and inventories.
