The Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and support the company’s network infrastructure. This role requires expertise in Cisco IOS, WiFi, SD-WAN, LAN/SDN, VPN, and related technologies. The engineer will maximize network operations by monitoring performance, troubleshooting outages, scheduling maintenance, and performing upgrades. At higher levels, the role involves leading the development of industry-leading technologies across video, voice, data, automation, and security. The position requires strong technical skills, incident response capability, and collaboration with cybersecurity and IT operations teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide global Network Engineering support in a lead capacity.
- Configure and install complex network devices, infrastructure, and systems.
- Ensure ongoing performance of network maintenance and system upgrades (service packs, patches, hot fixes, security configurations).
- Monitor network security and risk metrics; track issues and exceptions to risk policies.
- Liaise with Cybersecurity team members, suggest process improvements, and ensure compliance with company security protocols.
- Analyze current network configuration, performance metrics, and business needs; recommend future infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to network infrastructure.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in network engineering.
- Familiarity with ITIL and ITOM frameworks.
- Experience resolving tickets, leading network-related projects, and incident response (on-call).
- Strong knowledge of WiFi, SD-WAN, LAN/SDN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related technologies.
- Ability to design scalable networks configured to meet business objectives and ensure 24x7 availability.
