We are seeking an experienced Network LAN Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with switching, routing, network protocols, and network security, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers.
  • Manage VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.
  • Work with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and ICMP protocols.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
  • Implement and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solutions.
  • Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues proactively.
  • Work with firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and network security controls.
  • Perform network configuration, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, systems, and application teams.
  • Participate in network maintenance, change management, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Support enterprise network automation and configuration management where applicable.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience with LAN/WAN networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switches.
  • Experience with VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, EtherChannel, and trunking.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and OSI models.
  • Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, ARP, and IP addressing/subnetting.
  • Strong network troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPN, and NAC.
  • Experience with network documentation and change management.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Cisco DNA Center / SD-Access.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN.
  • Experience with Python or Ansible for network automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking — AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Experience with wireless LAN (WLAN) technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and enterprise network operations.
