Job Types: Full‑time, Contract • Pay: $54,475.84 - $169,621.00 per year • Work Location: In person
Responsibilities
- Author technical proposals, white papers, design documents, operator network designs, RFI/RFPs, and patent filings.
- Assist in product and feature performance analysis, evaluate new product and software releases, and third‑party product evaluation to build product synergies.
- Provide expert technical support in the pre‑sales process and develop technical and commercial solutions to help achieve sales goals.
- Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the sales team and carriers’ network business.
- Educate customers on the company’s new products and services, individually and in teams.
- Collaborate with support organizations, logistics, and cross‑functional teams from SEA and HQ to achieve successful product rollouts and developments.
- Lead field integration testing (FFA/FIT/FSA) of 4G/5G key features with customers, including test plan development, review with customers, and driving cross‑functional teams to execution.
- Handle Tier3 support: analyze and troubleshoot scheduler issues reported from customer labs, field sites, and production networks.
- Review and recommend improvements to LTE RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key KPIs, performing trials, and providing optimization guidelines.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate engineering degree with 8–10 years of directly related experience; a master’s degree and 8+ years of experience preferred.
- Possess 4G/5G call processing experience with deep knowledge of RRC, S1‑MME, S1‑U, X‑2 protocols, and concepts such as massive MIMO, new waveforms, LTE‑NR interworking and coexistence, 5G numerologies, etc.
- Fluency with 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, implementation, and performance improvements (KPIs); a good understanding of scheduler functionality is a plus.
- Experience with system engineering: feature requirement identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of 3GPP specifications for LTE, LTE‑A, and 5G features and protocols, and experience with current 3GPP Rel‑15/16 activities.
- Working knowledge of various RF antenna technologies and network optimizations.
- Willingness to travel sporadically during projects.
