Job summary

FLASH Technology Group in Maryland seeks a Network Engineer III with Active TS/SCI and Polygraph to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable networks.

You will install and configure routers, switches, and firewalls, manage security rules, document procedures, monitor traffic, and troubleshoot issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A minimum of 3 years in network engineering, Linux proficiency, and CCNA/CCNP with Security+ are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer (within the last 3 years).
• Proficient with Linux. Linux system administration experience is a plus.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.
• Resolve network issues.
• Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting.
• Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.

Network Engineer III!
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

BS in technical field + 10 years' experience OR

High School + 15 years' experience

Description

• Perform Network Engineering tasks and functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.

• Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.

Required

Salary varies based on Years of experience: $160,000-$190,000

A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
