Linnk Group in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Senior Network Design Engineer to lead large-scale IP network design, drive Juniper-based architectures, and guide deployment across customer environments.

You will troubleshoot design issues, provide design leadership, mentor staff, and ensure interoperability with BGP/OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and SRX policies while communicating clearly with engineering teams and executives.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
• Experience with Juniper MX, EX, QFX, SRX and MIST products.
• EVPN-VXLAN Campus & Data Center Juniper switching fabric experience.
• SRX high-end/mid-range/branch experience (FW policy, IPS, IPSec VPN, HA clustering).
• Core routing protocols: BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with design and deployment of routing and switching in customer infrastructures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, English fluent.

Responsabilidades

• Hold network information gathering workshops to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot network design and architecture issues.
• Provide network design leadership, assisting in identifying and building solutions.
• Analyze network and device configurations.
• Test product features and functionality.
• Provide deployment guidance to ensure consistent implementations with design specifications.
• Facilitate informal workshops to transfer knowledge to engineering staff.
• Apply industry best practices to network design, planning, and implementation.
• Apply extensive industry experience to optimize network performance and proactively analyze enhancements.
• Evaluate technical specifications for interoperability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and network problems with JTAC on pre/post-production issues.
• Produce written summaries of Design projects, equipment and network status for Customer.
• Train Customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure Juniper products.
• Assist in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures.
• Support production environment of Juniper products within Customer infrastructure.

• Produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems regularly to the Customer
• Train the Customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the Juniper Networks products
• Assist in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
• Support the production environment of Juniper products within the Customer infrastructure
• Support ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies for Juniper product applications used by Customer

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences.
• Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions.
• Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network.
• Strong customer interface and presentation skills.
• Customer education – TOI’s and Lunch & Learns.
• Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
• Must have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (MX, EX, QFX, SRX and MIST products)
• EVPN-VXLAN Campus & Data Center Juniper switching fabric experience
• SRX high-end/mid-range/branch experience (FW policy, IPS, IPSec VPN, HA clustering)
• Experience with core routing BGP, OSPF protocols.
• Experience with design and/or deployment of routing and switching products within the Customer infrastructure.
• Experience using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
• JNCIE Certifications are highly preferred.
