Genesis10 is seeking a Network Engineer 1 for a remote contract position with a leading client in London, OH. The position will be mostly remote but may require reporting to London, OH.

Compensation: $30-35 per hour W2.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and architecture of Next Generation Firewall solutions tailored to meet organizational security and business requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective firewall configurations.
3. Implement and deploy NGFW solutions based on industry best practices, ensuring high security, availability, and performance.
4. Review and update firewall policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
5. Design, configure, and maintain IPSEC VPN tunnels for secure communication between remote offices, third-party partners, and cloud environments.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VPN connectivity and performance.
7. Implement Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) to enhance network segmentation and isolation.
8. Configure and manage Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for efficient and scalable routing within the network infrastructure.
9. Collaborate with IT teams, security analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of NGFW solutions.
10. Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Cisco Meraki-based technologies, including Meraki RSTP and switch setup.
• Knowledge of Meraki & Catalyst setup, including models MS350-48FP, MS120-8FP, MS425-16, MS425-32.
• Experience with networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, TCP/IP, and MPLS.
• Preferred Education: 4-year college degree.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Key Skills include managing Cisco Meraki switches, FTD Firewalls, and cloud firewalls.
• Technologies include Cisco Firepower, Cisco Meraki fiber & access switches, Cisco routers, VPN, Aruba wireless technologies, and cloud proxy & reverse-proxy technologies.
