Job summary

TEKsystems in Wyoming, MI is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Facilities-focused network team. The ideal candidate has strong core routing and switching experience with Cisco Catalyst and will interact with Cisco ISE, SD-WAN and Palo Alto firewalls, while core configs remain owned by separate teams.

This role requires travel—about 2 trips per month, lasting 2–4 days. You can work remotely between trips, with a preference for someone based in Michigan to enable hybrid, in-person

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed networks across multiple facilities is beneficial.
• Strong documentation and SOP creation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage distribution center networking with focus on WAN routing and switching.
• Interact with Cisco ISE, SD-WAN and Palo Alto teams for integration and support.
• Create standard operating procedures and maintain thorough documentation.

Description

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Facilities focused network engineering team. The right candidate will have strong experience with core routing & switching with Cisco Catalyst, and should also be comfortable supporting Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls (for each of these technologies, another team owns the core configuration, but this team will interact with each of them). This role also requires the creation of standard operations procedures and strong documentation skills This role involves TRAVEL - average of 2 trips a month lasting 2-4 days to different facilities. Candidates must be comfortable with this. This person can work remotely between these trips, but there is a strong appetite for someone based in Michigan who could do some in person collaboration with the team at the headquarters in Grand Rapids.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
