TEKsystems seeks an Intermediate Level Windows/Unix systems engineer for a remote-friendly contract role. The position supports distributed infrastructure with 24x7 operations, monitoring, incident response, and service restoration across Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, VMware, cloud, and storage components.

The role emphasizes self-starting problem solving, patching, AD troubleshooting, and collaboration with teams.

Description

The Distributed Service Center (DSC) operates within GTS Operations Level 2 and is responsible for supporting the global distributed infrastructure environment. The team provides 24x7x365 operational support and focuses primarily on production support, with a smaller portion of effort allocated to project work.

Technical Skills

• Windows Server administration and monitoring (health, applications, OS maintenance)
• UNIX/Linux system monitoring and support
• Virtualization support (VMware / Grid computing)
• Storage technologies and recovery processes
• Web hosting infrastructure support
• Cloud infrastructure support

Responsibilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
