Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator / Jr. Network Engineer for Washington DC Navy Yard on a long-term contract.

This role requires a DoD security clearance and will operate on a W-2 basis with an hourly pay rate of $42.00–$46.95; fringe pay adds $5.09/hr along with holidays and sick leave as described. Responsibilities include managing LAN/WAN, coordinating with sites, and testing large-scale networks; required certifications include Security+CE and CCNA (within 6 months).

• Base Contract Pay Rate: $42.00 - $46.95 / Hourly on W-2
• Fringe Rate & PTO: Additional $5.09 / Hourly + 12 Paid Holidays & Up to 56 Hrs of Sick Leave
• REQUIREMENTS ***
• Secret Security Clearance ( Eligibility )

• 4+ Years of Combined Network Administration/Engineer Level Experience

Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.

• Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
• Schedule conversions and cutovers.
• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
• Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
• COMSEC Support Experience is a PLUS
