Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Network Admin III for a U.S.-based role requiring DoD clearance eligibility. The ideal candidate has over 5–10 years in networking, CCNA or higher, and deep Cisco OS expertise. You will handle complex network infrastructure, VOIP services, and wireless 802.11 studies.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and willingness to travel to regional sites as required. U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in networking.
• 5–10 years of networking experience; CCNA+ preferred.
• Strong Cisco OS skills.
• Deep knowledge of networking systems and infrastructure beyond LAN.
• Ability to analyze/troubleshoot with packet sniffers and other sources.
• Knowledge of VOIP and related infrastructures.
• Advanced knowledge of 802.11 wireless networks and antenna studies.
• Excellent communication, able to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lead teammates and provide direction.
• Familiarity with IETF/IEEE standards and NEC/ISA safety norms.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license.
• US Person under export control laws.
• Willingness to lift 50 lb, work overtime, weekends, evenings; travel as needed.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.Network Admin III
• Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in networking.
• Have 5 to 10 years of networking technologies experience. Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) or higher certification is preferred.
• Must have exceptional skills with Cisco operating systems.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of networking systems and infrastructure beyond the LAN environment.
• Must be capable of utilizing information gathered from packet sniffers and other sources to analyze and troubleshoot complex application-performance problems.
• Must have in-depth understanding of VOIP services and infrastructures.
• Must have advanced knowledge in 802.11 wireless networks and be able to conduct studies of antenna illumination patterns.
• Demonstrate good customer skills, the ability to work independently to complete assignments, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Be able to provide direction and assistance to teammates.
• Have knowledge of IETF and IEEE standards, the National Electric Code, and the National Electric Safety standards.
• Have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a current driver license.
• Be a United States citizen, or an individual who Customer and Supplier mutually agree otherwise qualifies as a U.S. Person under applicable export control laws and regulations.
• Be able to lift 50 lb and be able to work overtime, rotating weekends, and evenings; support on-call duties; and travel to support other regional sites as required.
