Job summary

CareerUS Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure. You will handle routing, switching, security, and cloud networking across on-prem or cloud environments.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, DevOps, and cloud teams to ensure highly available and secure network operations, while maintaining accurate diagrams and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Network Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, VPN, LAN/WAN, and network security.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco or equivalent networking equipment.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and routing/switching technologies.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or similar.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Configure and support LAN, WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, and routing protocols.
• Work with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Identify and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues.
• Perform network troubleshooting using monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Implement network security controls, access policies, segmentation, and firewall rules.
• Support cloud networking environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Participate in network architecture, migration, upgrade, and optimization projects.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and procedures.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
• Assist with network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance and after-hours/on-call support when required.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, cloud networking, and network monitoring.

The Network Engineer will work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and systems teams to ensure highly available, secure, and reliable network operations across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with enterprise wireless technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, PCNSE, Fortinet certifications, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field is preferred.
