Job summary

New Season in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our enterprise network across office, data center, and field locations. This role focuses on building High Availability topology, reducing single points of failure, and ensuring reliable connectivity for clinical and business operations.

You will work with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, and WAN services, collaborate with IT partners and vendors, and support deployments

Qualifications

• Five+ years of network engineering experience in a multi-site environment.
• Experience in healthcare IT settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

Network Engineer

New Season is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and reliability of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role supports LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, and internet services across our corporate office, data center, and field locations.

This Network Engineer will play an important role in advancing our network environment toward a High Availability (HA) architecture, reducing single points of failure and supporting dependable connectivity for clinical and business operations. This position also works closely with the Senior Network Engineer on new-location (DeNovo), relocation, and other infrastructure projects from planning through go-live.

What You'll Do:

• Install, configure, maintain, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPN services, and WAN/internet circuits.
• Help design and implement High Availability network infrastructure, including redundant firewalls, switching, routing, carrier circuits, and VPN/WAN paths.
• Plan and perform failover and redundancy testing, document results, and help resolve identified gaps.
• Support network engineering activities for new clinic openings, relocations, and other IT projects, including site surveys, circuit ordering, equipment procurement, configuration, installation, testing, and go-live support.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, Facilities/Construction, Operations, and IT partners to ensure network readiness for project deadlines.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity and perform root cause analysis when recurring issues are identified.
• Serve as an escalation point for network incidents and troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and hardware issues through resolution.
• Perform firmware and software upgrades, patching, and lifecycle replacement of network equipment in accordance with change-management procedures.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies, network segmentation, access controls, and secure remote access.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP address management, configuration standards, site-build templates, and operational runbooks.
• Work with carriers and hardware/software vendors to resolve network issues and track circuits, warranties, licensing, and support agreements.
• Evaluate network capacity and infrastructure needs for IT projects and recommend equipment, vendors, and service providers as appropriate.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing related to network infrastructure.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable state, federal, professional, and organizational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of network engineering experience in a multi-site enterprise environment.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous experience with infrastructure monitoring, escalation, and ticket tracking.
• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting High Availability network infrastructure.
• Experience managing network deliverables for new-site buildouts or similar multi-site projects.
• Experience working independently without direct supervision.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, spanning tree, OSPF, BGP, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, structured cabling, and other enterprise network equipment.
• Working knowledge of High Availability network design, including redundant or clustered hardware, first-hop redundancy, link aggregation, dual-carrier WAN, and automatic failover.
• Knowledge of Cisco technologies, data communications, carrier services, circuit provisioning, network monitoring tools, and disaster recovery planning.
• Working knowledge of project management practices related to multi-site network deployments.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, virtualization, hosted/cloud environments, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and VoIP/Call Center technologies.
