Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior network engineer to implement and support Cisco ACI, manage Palo Alto Firewalls, and oversee VPNs and wireless networks in a high-demand environment.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting across application, LAN, WAN, data center, and security domains, with real-time packet capture work using Wireshark. Reno-based on-site role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Expert in implementing, and support Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting).
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls including: Security policies, NAT, routing; VPN (IPSec, site-to-site, remote access); Panorama management and threat prevention profiles.
• Manage and support enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent), including RF optimization, roaming, and high-density deployments.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, including third-party interoperability.
• Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) including grid management, failover, and automation integration.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains.
• Lead live P1 troubleshooting during high-pressure factory environments and ensure timely resolution.
• Investigate causes, test solutions, and propose fixes to reduce ticket resolution time.
• Manage equipment, hardware, and software upgrades for network devices.
• Understand network support priorities and drive operational issue resolution.
• Mentor Level 1 & 2 resources to address network-related issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting the Level 3 and advanced network issues and performing call backs ensuring issues are resolved & appropriate solution is provided to the customer in a high pressure factory environments
• Responsible for investigating causes, tests solutions & suggest solutions in place to reduce the time taken to resolve the network related tickets.
• Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and network device software upgrades.
• Understanding Network support priorities and objectives and taking an active role in accomplishing them.
• Should be able to lead and drive technically the Operational issues on his own in a high pressure environment engaging multiple stakeholders during live troubleshooting.
• Help level 1 & level 2 resources to address the Network related issues.
• Strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols required.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
