Job description

If you want to build a real career in networking, not just hold down a help desk seat, this is where that starts. A leading managed service provider is looking for a Network Engineer I to join a tight-knit six-person team supporting network infrastructure for clients across different sectors. This is a role for someone who wants their next two years to look nothing like their last two.

What You'll Own

  • You'll troubleshoot and resolve low- to medium-complexity network incidents across WAN, LAN, routers, and firewalls, both remotely and on-site

  • You'll get hands-on experience supporting disaster recovery processes and communicating clearly during planned and unplanned outages

  • You'll build fluency in remote access tools like VPN and Citrix while monitoring system alerts and maintaining uptime for client environments

  • You'll manage your own ticket queue from open to resolution using ConnectWise, developing the documentation habits that senior engineers rely on

  • You'll work directly with client contacts and internal teams, learning how to communicate technical issues clearly under pressure

  • You'll gain exposure to LAN, WAN, and wireless network design and deployment as you grow into higher-level NOC responsibilities

What You Bring

Must-haves:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, whether from a NOC, service desk, or IT support role

  • Familiarity with Fortinet and Cisco environments

  • A genuine, methodical approach to troubleshooting rather than guesswork

  • Comfort working in a ticketing system and documenting your work clearly

Nice-to-haves:

  • Network+ certification or progress toward CCNA or Fortinet NSE 3/4

  • Experience with voice technologies like VoIP or PBX

  • A bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

What We Offer

  • A clear, visible path to growth. This role could be just an entry point, not the ceiling

  • A modern, high-energy NOC environment.

  • A predictable 8-to-5 schedule with no weekend work

  • Hybrid flexibility with only two required onsite days per week

  • Full benefits eligibility upon conversion to full-time

About the Team

You’ll join a NOC team with a clear structure that has each other's back and takes pride in keeping client networks running without disruption.
