Job summary

Patriot Talent Solutions in Knoxville is seeking a Network Engineer to support and improve a growing multi-site network environment. This role balances day-to-day administration with project work and infrastructure improvements across locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on networking experience, strong routing and switching knowledge, VLANs, and firewall administration. Familiarity with BGP, failover, and static routing is a plus.

Job description

We're partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Network Engineer to support and improve a growing multi-site network environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day network administration with project work and infrastructure improvements. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple locations, evaluate existing environments, recommend enhancements, and play an active role in improving reliability, performance, and scalability.

This is more than a break/fix position. The team is looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks proactively, and enjoys solving problems before they become larger issues.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Administer and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless environments
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
  • Participate in network upgrades, refreshes, and modernization initiatives
  • Assess network environments and recommend improvements
  • Create and maintain network documentation
  • Support infrastructure projects from planning through implementation

What We're Looking For
