Job summary

Verigent's client in Kansas City, MO is seeking a mid-level Network Engineer to support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure. The role is hybrid (1-2 days onsite per week) and focuses on Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain robust LAN/WAN connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience and strong TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN knowledge. CCNA/CCNP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering/administration experience.
• Strong experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network troubleshooting and packet-level analysis.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with infrastructure and IT teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• CCNA/CCNP is preferred but not required.
